Avery Smith is a current senior pursuing a B.F.A. in Acting as well as a B.A. in Visual Communications at Elon University. Avery has been involved in all aspects of theatre since she was 8, from performing onstage, to directing, stage managing, and creating promotional campaigns for theatre companies. She is a strong believer that an actor should invest in all sides of theatre and because of that, chose a secondary major to pursue work in theatre promotions and marketing.

Avery is excited to enter her final year at Elon, having learned so much about her craft and herself over the past three years. After studying abroad in London during her junior year, she is happy to be back on campus and really work on blending everything she has learned. She is currently performing in Elon Performing Arts' production of Everybody by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins as Love.

 

Outside of theatre, Avery has a passion for art, design, and travel. She loves reading, exploring different coffee shops in her area, shopping, and spending any free moments with her friends and family, as well as cuddling with her cat Babette ("Babs") while watching How I Met Your Mother.
